Owls Head Classic Cars Aug 19
The 29th annual New England Auto Auction of Antique, Classic & Special Interest Vehicles will be held Saturday, Aug 19 at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. Some 210 classic automobiles will auctioned, in what the museum calls one of the finest antique auto auctions in New England.
“This is one of the best selection of cars we’ve ever had,” said the museum’s director, Charles Chiarchiaro. “People should know that the car of their dreams is here at this auction.”
The consignment auction will be held at the Owls Head Transportation Museum., and usually attracts upwards of 3,500 spectators and more than 400 bidders. Bidding starts 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug.19 and will end at approximately 6:00 p.m.
An auction preview will be held Friday, Aug.18, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and the morning of the sale beginning at 7:00 a.m. Proceeds from the auction benefit the museum’s programs and services.
